Zenlet 2 AL Wallet
I’ve been looking for reviews for the Zenlet Wallet and couldn’t find much about it. Saw a video of a Zenlet 2+ wallet and it didn’t look all that sturdy. But I decided to buy the Zenlet 2 AL in space grey from Amazon.com to give it a try.
It took about a week to get the wallet. I am in Canada and bought it from the USA. Probably quicker than ordering from the manufacturer. I did mention to them regarding them breaking as that’s seems to be one of the main things that was mentioned on Amazon. They do have a one year warranty and also parts to repair the wallet if it’s out of warranty. According to the website, the shipping cost isn’t covered. That kind of sucks.
After waiting for a week, it finally arrived. It’s nice packaged in a white box.
It feels pretty nice. Doesn’t feel cheap as others has mentioned. Though they might be talking about the Zenlet Wallet 2 and Wallet 2+. I spoke with customer service and both the 2/2+ lids are made of plastic. Feels like it’s built pretty sturdy. Zenlet Wallet 2 is made of aluminum. The sliding mechanism is smooth. This is I think they’re thinnest wallet. It’s 9mm depth. While the other is 11mm and 16mm. Because it’s so thin, it fits in your pockets without the bulge.
The website states the wallet can fit seven cards. I can only fit about fives cards otherwise the card cascading doesn’t function properly. Three credit card, transit card, and ID. The transit and ID card are flat and doesn’t have any numbers stick up. If all the cards are flat, I am sure it can fit seven. I am able to slide one or two folded bank notes behind the last card. Again this makes the cascading function a little. I do have the Al which is 9mm as mentioned above.
The ergonomic tilt feature makes it very easy to take the card out. The cascading of the cards is a nice touch. Although it doesn’t always work even if it’s within the card limit. The right amount pressure needs to be applied to get to work all the time which does take some getting used to. Even when the cascading of the cards doesn’t work properly you can just separate the cards apart. Closing the wallet does take some time to get used to. The wallet is RFID blocking so no one can just walk up and scan your cards.
A Overall, I do enjoy this wallet. Been using it for about a week now. I came from a full size bi-folding wallet, so cutting down to just 5 cards is a little difficult.
